Tagalog pocket dictionary for my Filipino relative going to the Philippines. It is a great way for people to learn Tagalog words and for people to look up words. It is easy to read and easy to look up words you are looking for. It goes from English to Tagalog and vice versa. I would recommend this dictionary by Renato Perdon. I hope I can pick up a few words to use in my vocabulary.

About the Author
John Alevras lives on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. He has persued Atlantic salmon in Canada, spent his youth fishing the Catskill trout streams, limestone creeks of the Cumberland Valley, and the great rivers of the northern Rockies. John now fishes more than seventh-five days a year in the Pacific Northwest - the pinnacle of the fly-fishing world for steelhead. John has authored many magazine articles and with retirement came the time to write about his almost thirty years fishing the Babine, Kispiox and other Skeena rivers.

Wonderful read!

This is a wonderful beautifully descriptive read for all those that love to Steelhead fish. It reminds you of what you must endure in order to value and appreciate this wonderful sport. Mother nature may be unkind as he describe how they will go for days without being able to fish, but the believe that you may connect with a majestic 20lbs. steelhead is what keeps you turning the pages. His carefully chosen words to describe the essence of their love for steelheading in B.C. -that keeps them coming back year after year, really hits the spot. I've lend this book out to a fellow two handed-spey steelheader and he finished it in one evening. It is a easy read and can be enjoyed by all. Hopefully, more people will come to realize after reading this book how important it is to practice "catch and release" and the perseverance of these magnificent wild fish and its wilderness. This book can help achieve this I believe.

not the best intro to health services

This book is not very well suited to those who want an introduction to health policy and services. If you have some background in the field, it will probably be too basic to help you very much. I had no such background when I began using this book in a graduate course in health policy, and while most of the text is understandable, it is generally not very interesting and/or helpful. Childhood Favorite

This book was one of my favorites when I was little. I was looking to purchase a copy for myself a while back and found out that it is supposedly a "rare" Little Golden Book which resulted in most places charging a near fortune for a copy. It's a releif to see it on here for a more reasonable price.
It is a wonderful story about a little skunk who, despite his best efforts, cannot find a comfortable place to sleep. I highly recommend it.

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Wonderful seller. So happy to finally find this book. My mom read this to my sister and I when we were little. Having lost the original over the years, we all remembered the book as one of our favorites but could not recall the title to get another copy. I have searched for years and finally found it. It is just as precious as I rememberer.

About the Author
Dan McCool grew up in a wrestling hotbed in the state of Iowa and has followed the sport for most of his life. An addictive aspect of the sport came in 1977, when he witnessed a boyhood friend winning a state championship. He wrote about the sport for thirty years. As a writer for the Des Moines Register, McCool covered wrestling at the high school, collegiate, and international level and was respected for his knowledge of the sport and its participants. For several years, he handled the paper's wrestling rankings for high school teams and individuals. Because the state tournament is a must-see event in Iowa, McCool wanted to give readers some stories about the teams and individuals of a sport that has turned out national champions, Olympic champions, and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. When he's not watching wrestling, McCool enjoys oldies music, photography, travel, and football.

I have been involved in Iowa wrestling since the 1940's as a competitor, as A spectator, and as a person that just loves the sport.

I cannot think of one thing that I remember about Iowa Wrestling that is not in this book. This book is 620 pages of great information.

I have a cousin that placed 2nd. in the Iowa High School State Tournament. I was in the 1952 State High school Wrestling Tournament. I didn't win but the top two wrestlers in my weight were listed. My other cousin's son won the State Tournament Twice in the early 70's and it is all in there.

This book is absolutely fantastic and loaded with great information. I am glad to have this book and would recommend it to anyone that loves Iowa Wrestling. If something happened in Iowa Wrestling it is in this book.

Great book for any Iowa wrestling fan

This book is even better than I expected. I have been to the Iowa State Wrestling Tournament every year since I was 9 in 1991 and this book does justice to the event. It is hard to put this book down. McCool really brings things to life with all the quotes and stories. The book is divided into many mini chapters about legendary wrestlers and coaches across the state.

A must-read for anyone who has followed high school wrestling in Iowa for any length of time. It brought back great memories and shared a lot of information that I didn't know prior to reading the book. McCool's knowledge of Iowa high school wrestling is unsurpassed.
