About the Author
John Alevras lives on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. He has persued Atlantic salmon in Canada, spent his youth fishing the Catskill trout streams, limestone creeks of the Cumberland Valley, and the great rivers of the northern Rockies. John now fishes more than seventh-five days a year in the Pacific Northwest - the pinnacle of the fly-fishing world for steelhead. John has authored many magazine articles and with retirement came the time to write about his almost thirty years fishing the Babine, Kispiox and other Skeena rivers.

Wonderful read!

This is a wonderful beautifully descriptive read for all those that love to Steelhead fish. It reminds you of what you must endure in order to value and appreciate this wonderful sport. Mother nature may be unkind as he describe how they will go for days without being able to fish, but the believe that you may connect with a majestic 20lbs. steelhead is what keeps you turning the pages. His carefully chosen words to describe the essence of their love for steelheading in B.C. -that keeps them coming back year after year, really hits the spot. I've lend this book out to a fellow two handed-spey steelheader and he finished it in one evening. It is a easy read and can be enjoyed by all. Hopefully, more people will come to realize after reading this book how important it is to practice "catch and release" and the perseverance of these magnificent wild fish and its wilderness. This book can help achieve this I believe.

Steelhead

If you love steelheading you will really enjoy this book. I did not want it to end. I will never make it to some of the rivers fished but through this book I was there.
